Hometown savollari Part 1’ning eng ko‘p uchraydigan mavzularidan biri, chunki imtihon ko‘pincha “Where are you from?” bilan boshlanadi. Kuchli javob shaharni reklama qilmaydi: u bitta aniq fikr, sabab va ko‘z oldingizga keladigan detal beradi, masalan, “the new metro line” yoki “the silk workshops”. Quyida 15 ta mashq savoli, to‘rt xil shahardan kelgan o‘quvchilar uchun namunaviy javoblar va javoblari bor mashq bor.
Mavzu imtihonda qanday uchraydi
IELTS’ning rasmiy tavsifiga ko‘ra, Part 1’da imtihonchi siz haqingizda va uy, oila, ish, o‘qish, qiziqishlar kabi tanish mavzularda umumiy savollar beradi. Hometown ba’zan “Let’s talk about where you live” shaklida keladi. Bu holda hozir yashayotgan joyingiz haqida gapirasiz. Agar tug‘ilgan joyingiz va hozirgi shahringiz boshqa bo‘lsa, buni birinchi javobda qisqa aytib qo‘ying: I was born in Qo‘qon, but I’ve lived in Tashkent for five years. Shunda keyingi savollar chalkashmaydi.

To‘rt shahar, to‘rt namunaviy javob
Namunalar taxminan band 7 darajasiga mo‘ljallab yozilgan mashq javoblari, rasmiy baholangan emas. Har biri boshqa shahar va boshqa savolga yozilgan, chunki bir xil qolip barcha shaharlarga mos kelmaydi.
Toshkent: “Has your hometown changed much since you were a child?”
Yes, it’s changed enormously. When I was a kid, the area around my house in Sergeli was mostly one-storey homes and empty fields. Now there are high-rise apartment blocks everywhere, and the metro reaches us, which has made getting to the centre much quicker. The downside is that the traffic has got a lot worse, and there are fewer trees than there used to be.
Nimasi ishlaydi: It’s changed enormously darhol javob beradi va present perfect ishlatadi. O‘tmish va hozir aniq tasvirlar bilan solishtirilgan: one-storey homes va high-rise apartment blocks. The downside is that javobga muvozanat beradi.
Samarqand: “Do many tourists visit it?”
Quite a lot, yes, especially in spring and autumn when the weather’s pleasant. Most of them come to see the Registan and the old mosques and mausoleums, which are genuinely stunning, particularly in the evening when they’re lit up. It’s good for local businesses, but in the historic centre prices have gone up, so some locals avoid those areas.
Nimasi ishlaydi: Quite a lot, yes va vaqt aniqlashtirilgan (in spring and autumn). Registon nomi aytilgan, lekin tarixiy ma’ruza yo‘q. Oxirgi jumla turizmning mahalliy aholiga ta’sirini qisqa ko‘rsatadi.
Marg‘ilon: “Is your hometown famous for anything?”
It’s best known for silk. Margilan has been a centre of silk weaving for centuries, and you can still visit workshops where people make atlas fabric by hand, using the traditional patterns. Growing up there, I didn’t find it particularly special, but now that I live in Tashkent, I realise how unusual it is.
Nimasi ishlaydi: It’s best known for “famous for” savoliga tayyor, tabiiy boshlanish. Atlas nomi berilgan va fabric so‘zi bilan tushuntirilgan. Oxirgi jumla shaxsiy nuqtai nazarning o‘zgarishini ko‘rsatadi: Growing up there… but now that…
Nukus: “What would you recommend a visitor do there?”
I’d definitely send them to the Savitsky Museum. It has an amazing collection of Soviet-era avant-garde paintings, and a lot of foreigners are surprised to find it in a city like Nukus. After that, if they have a free day, I’d suggest a trip out towards the Aral Sea region, although it’s a long drive, so they’d need to plan it properly.
Nimasi ishlaydi: Tavsiya savoliga I’d definitely va I’d suggest bilan javob berilgan. Bitta aniq joy, uning nimasi qiziqligi va amaliy ogohlantirish bor. Bu reklama emas, suhbatdoshga maslahat ohangida.

Yana bir odat: ko‘p o‘quvchi shahar haqida aholi soni va tarixiy sanalarni aytadi. Raqamni aniq bilmasangiz, aytmang. “It’s quite a big city” yoki “It’s a small town where everyone knows each other” yetarli va xavfsiz.
Mashq: qaysi javob kuchliroq?
Har bir savol uchun A yoki B ni tanlang va nega ekanini o‘ylang.
1. What do you like most about your hometown?
A: I like many things about my hometown. It is very beautiful and people are kind and there is good nature.
B: Probably the people. It’s a small town, so neighbours really look out for each other. When my grandfather was ill, the whole mahalla took turns bringing food.
2. Is it a good place for young people?
A: Not really, to be honest. There’s a university, but there aren’t many jobs in IT or finance, so most of my classmates moved to Tashkent after graduating.
B: Yes, of course. Young people are the future of our country, so every city must be good for them.
3. What is public transport like there?
A: Transport is a very important part of modern life in every city in the world.
B: It’s mostly buses and shared taxis. They’re cheap, but they don’t follow a fixed timetable, so you can end up waiting for twenty minutes.
Javoblar:
- 1 — B. B bitta narsani tanlaydi va real voqea bilan isbotlaydi. A umumiy sifatlarni sanaydi.
- 2 — A. A savolga rost va aniq javob beradi, sababini ko‘rsatadi. B savolga emas, shiorga javob beradi.
- 3 — B. A savoldan chetga chiqadi va hech narsa demaydi. B transport turini, afzalligi va kamchiligini aytadi.
Sizning javobingiz: to‘rt qatorli xarita
Shahringiz haqida qog‘ozga faqat to‘rt qator yozing:
- Joy: qayerda, qanday kattalikda (a small town in Surxondaryo).
- Bitta belgi: u bilan tanilgan narsa (bozor, meva, hunarmandchilik, yangi qurilish).
- Bitta o‘zgarish: bolaligingizdan beri nima o‘zgardi.
- Bitta fikr: u yerda yashashni xohlaysizmi va nega.
Endi 2, 5, 8 va 13-savollarga yozib olib javob bering, har biriga 20–30 soniya. Har bir javob shu to‘rt qatordan kamida bittasini ishlatsin. Tinglaganda tekshiring: city so‘zini shahar nomidan keyin qo‘shmadingizmi? O‘zgarish haqida present perfect ishlatdingizmi? Birorta javobda odam, joy nomi yoki vaqt kabi aniq detal bormi?
Uy va kvartira haqidagi savollar hometown bilan ko‘p aralashadi, ular uchun Home va Accommodation sahifasida alohida namunalar bor. Shahar transporti savollari uchun Transport mavzusiga qarang. Barcha mavzularni bitta joyda ko‘rish uchun IELTS Speaking savollari to‘plamidan foydalaning.
