Part 3 dagi shopping va consumerism savollari “nimani yoqtirasiz?” emas, “odamlar nega kerakmas narsani sotib oladi?”, “bu jamiyat va tabiatga qanday ta’sir qiladi?” degan savollar. Yaxshi javob uchun fikringizni uch darajada ko‘rsating: bitta odam, oila va butun jamiyat. Masalan, nasiyaga telefon olish bir odamga qulay, oilaga qarz yuki, jamiyatga esa iste’molning o‘sishi.
Ushbu sahifadagi 8 savol mashq uchun tuzilgan va rasmiy formatdagi Part 3 kabi Part 2 mavzusining kengroq davomi. Har savolga ikki javob berilgan: band 6 ga xos oddiyroq va band 7+ ga xos rivojlangan variant. Bu belgilar tahririyat taxmini, imtihon bahosi emas. Kundalik xarid haqidagi sodda savollar Part 1 shopping sahifasida.
Taqqoslash savollari
1. How have shopping habits changed compared with your parents’ generation?
Band 6:
My parents went to the bazaar every week and bought everything there. Now we buy many things online. It is more easy and we don’t spend time.
Band 7+:
The biggest change is how often we buy. My parents did one big trip to the bazaar at the weekend and planned everything around it. Now my generation orders small things almost daily through apps, and the parcel arrives the next day even in the regions. It saves time, but it also removes the natural pause that made people ask, “Do I really need this?”
Farq: more easy → easier. Kuchli javob o‘zgarishni bitta aniq o‘lchovga (how often we buy) bog‘laydi va uning yashirin oqibatini ko‘rsatadi.
2. Are people in cities more materialistic than people in the countryside?
Band 6:
Yes, I think city people are more materialistic. They want expensive cars and clothes. In villages life is more simple.
Band 7+:
I’d be careful with that generalisation. City people certainly have more temptations, with shopping centres and adverts everywhere, so it’s easier to spend. But in villages there can be just as much pressure, only in a different form, for example spending huge amounts on a wedding so the family doesn’t lose face. So I’d say materialism looks different in each place rather than being stronger in one.
Farq: ikkinchi javob savoldagi taxminni shubha ostiga oladi. Bu Part 3 da ruxsat etilgan va kuchli harakat, faqat sabab bilan bo‘lsa.
Bashorat savollari
3. Will online shopping replace traditional markets like bazaars?
Band 6:
I don’t think so. Bazaars are very popular in Uzbekistan. People like to see fresh fruit and talk with sellers.
Band 7+:
Not completely, at least not for food. Buying fruit at Chorsu is partly a social experience: you taste things, you bargain, and you often buy from the same seller for years. What online shopping will probably take over is electronics, clothes and household goods, where people mainly compare prices. So I imagine bazaars shrinking to what they do best, fresh produce and personal trust.
Farq: kuchli javob mahsulot turlarini ajratadi: nima o‘zgaradi, nima qoladi.
4. Do you think people will buy less in the future because of environmental concerns?
Band 6:
Maybe some people will buy less. But most people like shopping, so they will not change.
Band 7+:
A small group will, but I doubt it will change the overall picture unless buying less also saves money. Most people care about the environment in theory, yet when a jacket is on sale for half price, the price wins. Where I can see real change is in second-hand buying and repairs, which are already normal here with phones and appliances. If those become more convenient, people may consume less without feeling they’re sacrificing anything.
Farq: in theory… yet… kontrasti nazariya va amaliyot orasidagi farqni tabiiy ko‘rsatadi.
Baholash savollari
5. Is it a good thing that it’s so easy to buy on instalments?
Band 6:
It is good and bad. People can buy a phone or a fridge without all the money. But sometimes they cannot pay back.
Band 7+:
It’s useful for essentials, but risky for everything else. For a young family that needs a washing machine, paying monthly makes sense. The trouble is that instalment plans, or nasiya as we call them, are now offered for the latest phones and even clothes, and it’s easy to forget how many small payments you’ve already committed to. I think shops should be required to show the total cost very clearly before people sign.
Farq: good and bad o‘rniga chegara aniq: zarur narsaga ha, qolganiga ehtiyot. Mahalliy so‘z (nasiya) inglizcha tushuntirilgan.
6. Is it better to buy cheap things often or expensive things that last?
Band 6:
I think expensive things are better because they are good quality. Cheap things break very fast and you must buy again.
Band 7+:
In most cases I’d go for quality, but only if the higher price really means it will last. With shoes or a winter coat, paying more once is often cheaper than replacing a bad pair every season. The catch is that a high price doesn’t always guarantee quality; sometimes you’re just paying for the logo. So the smart approach is to spend more on things you use every day and save on things you’ll only use a few times.
Farq: birinchi javob “qimmat = sifatli” deb qabul qiladi. Ikkinchisi bu taxminni tekshiradi (you’re just paying for the logo) va amaliy qoida bilan tugaydi.
Sabab-oqibat savollari
7. Why do people buy things they don’t really need?
Band 6:
Because of advertising. Also people want to show their friends new things. Sometimes shopping makes people happy.
Band 7+:
Partly because buying gives a quick emotional lift. After a stressful week, ordering something new feels like a small reward, even if it ends up in a cupboard. Social comparison plays a role too: when everyone at a wedding has the latest phone, yours suddenly feels old. And apps make it almost effortless, with one-click payment and endless “recommended for you” lists.
Farq: uchta sabab bor, lekin har biri bir gap bilan tushuntirilgan, faqat sanab o‘tilmagan.
8. What are the effects of consumerism on the environment?
Band 6:
Consumerism is bad for nature. Factories make pollution and there is a lot of rubbish.
Band 7+:
The most obvious effect is waste. Cheap clothes and gadgets are made to be replaced quickly, so they end up in landfill after a season or two. Delivery adds another layer, with packaging for every small order and more vans on the roads. In a country where water is already scarce, it’s also worth remembering that producing things like cotton and clothing uses a great deal of water.
Farq: oqibatlar aniq zanjir bo‘yicha: ishlab chiqarish, yetkazish, chiqindi. Suv tanqisligi mahalliy kontekstga bog‘langan.

Javobni uzaytirish: shaxs – oila – jamiyat

- Shaxs: For an individual, buying on credit feels convenient.
- Oila: But for the household, several monthly payments can quietly eat up the budget.
- Jamiyat: And at a national level, rising personal debt makes families more vulnerable when prices go up.
- Xulosa: So it’s helpful in moderation, but the risks grow as you zoom out.
