Savol 2 (D). Pozitsiya: erta boshlash yaxshiroq, agar o‘qituvchi malakali bo‘lsa. BP1 (erta): talaffuz oson o‘zlashadi, bola xatodan qo‘rqmaydi. BP2 (kechroq): avval ona tilida savodxonlik, kuchsiz o‘qituvchi zarar keltiradi. Xulosa: erta, lekin sifat sharti bilan.

Savol 8 (AD). Pozitsiya: afzalliklar ustun. BP1: tezlik, xarajatni kuzatish oson. BP2: firibgarlik, keksalar qiynaladi, internet uzilsa to‘lov to‘xtaydi. Xulosa: kamchiliklarni ta’lim va naqd pulni saqlab qolish kamaytiradi, shuning uchun afzalliklar ustun.

Savol 13 (PS). BP1 (sabablar): isrofli sug‘orish, aholi o‘sishi, issiq yoz. BP2 (har bir sababga yechim): tomchilatib sug‘orish, quvurlardagi yo‘qotishni tuzatish, tejash madaniyati.

Savol 16 (O). Pozitsiya: asosan roziman. BP1: narx xulqqa tez ta’sir qiladi, tushgan pul tibbiyotga ketadi. BP2 (cheklov): kam daromadli oilalarga og‘ir, shuning uchun sog‘lom ovqat arzonlashsin. Xulosa: soliq boshqa choralar bilan birga.

Savol 28 (AD). Pozitsiya: tarixiy binolar bo‘lsa, kamchiliklar og‘irroq. BP1: yangi uylar xavfsiz, issiqni saqlaydi. BP2: tarixiy qiyofa va turizmni qaytarib bo‘lmaydi. Xulosa: yangi qurilish tarixiy markazdan tashqarida.

Practice question: More families are paying for private tutors. Why is this happening? Is it a positive or negative development?

In many countries, including Uzbekistan, it has become normal for secondary school students to have a private tutor, especially in their final two years. This trend is driven mainly by competition for university places, and although it helps individual students, I believe its overall effect on society is negative.

The main reason families pay for tutoring is the pressure of entrance exams. When a single test decides whether a student receives a state-funded place, parents understandably want to reduce the risk as much as possible. A second factor is class size. A teacher with thirty pupils cannot explain a difficult topic five times, whereas a tutor can focus entirely on one student’s weaknesses. Finally, tutoring has become a social expectation: when most classmates have a tutor, parents fear that their child will fall behind without one.

For individual students, private lessons can be extremely effective. However, the wider consequences are more worrying. Tutoring is expensive, so children from lower-income or rural families start the race for university at a disadvantage, which makes education less fair. Moreover, if schools know that many students are learning the material elsewhere, there is less pressure on them to improve their teaching. In the long run, this can turn good education into something families buy rather than something the state guarantees.

In conclusion, the growth of private tutoring is a rational response to exam pressure and crowded classrooms. Nevertheless, because it widens the gap between rich and poor families and weakens the incentive for schools to improve, I consider it a negative development overall.
