“Do you have a pet?” savoliga “No” deb javob bersangiz ham, gap shu bilan tugamaydi. Band 7+ javob “yo‘q” dan keyin darhol boshqa haqiqiy detalga o‘tadi: yo‘lakdagi daydi mushuk, buvangizning qishloqdagi sigiri, ko‘rgan hujjatli filmingiz. Hayvonlar mavzusida o‘zbek nomzodlarining ko‘pchiligida ana shunday tayyor material bor, uni faqat inglizcha aytishni o‘rganish kerak. Bu sahifada avval kerakli so‘zlar, keyin 8 ta savolga band 6 va band 7+ javoblar, he/it xatosi va bo‘shliq to‘ldirish mashqi keladi.
Uyda hayvon yo‘qmi? Gapiradigan uchta manba
Imtihonchi sizning hayvonlar haqidagi bilimingizni emas, ingliz tilingizni baholaydi. Yolg‘on to‘qish shart emas. Mana uchta halol manba:
- Atrofingizdagi hayvonlar. Yo‘lakdagi mushuk, qo‘shnining iti, bozordagi kaptarlar. We feed a stray cat by our entrance.
- Qishloq. Ko‘p oilalarda buvi-buvalar qishloqda mol, qo‘y yoki tovuq boqadi. My grandparents keep a few sheep.
- Ekrandagi hayvonlar. Hujjatli filmlar, internetdagi mushuk videolari, hayvonot bog‘iga borish. I’m a sucker for wildlife documentaries.

8 ta savol: imtihonchi so‘raydi, siz ikki xil javob berasiz
Savollar tahririyat tomonidan mashq uchun tuzilgan va real imtihondan olinmagan. Rasmiy formatga ko‘ra Part 1 to‘rt-besh daqiqa davom etadi. “Band 6 atrofida” va “band 7+ uslubida” degan belgilar tahririyatning taxminiy mo‘ljali, rasmiy baho emas.
1. Do you have a pet?
Band 6 atrofida: No, I don’t have a pet. We live in a flat and my mother doesn’t like animals.
Band 7+ uslubida: Not at the moment. We live on the fifth floor, and my mum has made it very clear that nothing with fur is coming into her flat. We do feed a stray cat that lives by our entrance, though, so in a way she’s half ours.
Farqi: “yo‘q” dan keyin haqiqiy hikoya bor. We do feed dagi do ta’kid beradi.
2. Did you have any animals when you were a child?
Band 6 atrofida: Yes, my grandparents had a cow and chickens in the village. I helped them in summer.
Band 7+ uslubida: Not in our flat, but my grandparents in the village kept a cow, a few sheep and a noisy crowd of chickens. Every summer my job was collecting the eggs, and I was terrified of one particular rooster that chased me across the yard.
3. What is your favourite animal?
Band 6 atrofida: My favourite animal is horse because it is strong and beautiful.
Band 7+ uslubida: Probably horses. My uncle plays kupkari, a traditional team game on horseback, and the way he stays so calm around such a powerful animal has always impressed me.
Farqi: band 6 javobda artikl yo‘q: the horse yoki ko‘plikda horses. Ikkinchi javobda milliy o‘yin nomi inglizcha izoh bilan keladi.
4. Are pets popular in your country?
Band 6 atrofida: Yes, cats are popular in Uzbekistan. Dogs are not so popular in flats.
Band 7+ uslubida: Cats, definitely, and more people seem to keep dogs in flats than a few years ago. Traditionally, though, dogs lived in the yard as guards rather than as pets, so for my grandparents’ generation a dog sleeping on the sofa is still quite a strange idea.
5. Would you like to have a pet in the future?
Band 6 atrofida: Yes, I want to have a dog in the future when I have my own house.
Band 7+ uslubida: Definitely, once I have a place of my own and a more predictable schedule. I’d go for a dog, ideally one from a shelter, but only when I can actually take it for walks rather than leave it alone all day.
6. Do you like watching animals on TV or online?
Band 6 atrofida: Yes, I like watching videos about animals on YouTube. They are funny.
Band 7+ uslubida: I’m a sucker for wildlife documentaries, especially ones about the ocean, because it’s a world I’ve never seen with my own eyes. And, like everyone, I waste far too much time on clips of cats knocking things off tables.
Farqi: I’m a sucker for norasmiy, lekin Part 1 uchun mos ibora. Hazil bilan tugagan jumla javobni tabiiy yopadi.
7. Have you ever been to a zoo?
Band 6 atrofida: Yes, I went to the zoo in Tashkent when I was a child. I saw lions and monkeys.
Band 7+ uslubida: A few times, most recently with my little niece. She was thrilled by the giraffes, but I felt a bit sorry for the bigger animals, which looked rather bored in their enclosures.
8. Is there any animal you are afraid of?
Band 6 atrofida: Yes, I am afraid of dogs because one dog bited me when I was small.
Band 7+ uslubida: Snakes, without a doubt, even though I’ve only ever seen one in real life, on a hike in the mountains. Big dogs make me slightly nervous too, ever since one jumped at me through a gate when I was about seven.
Farqi: bite noto‘g‘ri fe’l: bite – bit – bitten. To‘g‘risi: a dog bit me.
“He” yoki “it”? Hayvonlar haqidagi xatolar
- Jinsni aralashtirish. O‘zbekchada “u” hammasiga yetadi. Inglizchada notanish hayvon it, lekin o‘z uy hayvoningiz haqida egalari ko‘pincha he yoki she deydi. Bittasini tanlang va javob oxirigacha shunda qoling: Our cat is lazy; she sleeps all day.
- “Sheeps”, “fishes”, “cattles”. Sheep birlik ham, ko‘plik ham bir xil. Fish odatda ko‘plikda ham fish. Cattle doim ko‘plik ma’nosida va -s olmaydi.
- “Domestic animals” = pets? Yo‘q. Domestic animals ko‘pincha chorva va qishloq hayvonlari haqida. Uyda boqiladigani a pet.
- “I have not a pet.” Tabiiy shakllar: I don’t have a pet yoki I haven’t got a pet.
- “I’m afraid from dogs.” Ruscha “боюсь собак” va o‘zbekcha “itdan qo‘rqaman” dagi “-dan” from ga aylanib qoladi. To‘g‘risi: afraid of, scared of.
- Talaffuz. Animal /ˈænɪməl/ da urg‘u birinchi bo‘g‘inda. Sheep /ʃiːp/ uzun “ii”, ship esa qisqa. Horse /hɔːs/ va house /haʊs/ ni adashtirmang. Bird /bɜːd/ da “ir” ni o‘qimang.
