"My pet" matni to‘rt savolga javob beradi: qanday hayvon va ismi nima (I have a cat. Her name is Momiq.), qanday ko‘rinadi (She is white and grey), xarakteri va odatlari (She is lazy, she sleeps all day) va siz unga qanday qaraysiz (I feed her every morning). Eng muhim qoida: ismi va jinsi ma’lum uy hayvoni uchun he yoki she, noma’lum hayvon uchun it ishlatiladi.

B1: The cat that chose us
I never planned to have a pet. We live on the fifth floor of an apartment block in Chilanzar, and my mother always said that a flat was no place for animals. Then, one rainy evening in November, my brother found a thin grey kitten shivering near the entrance of our building. He carried it upstairs "just for one night". That was three years ago.
We called her Mushuk, which simply means "cat", because nobody could agree on a better name. At first she was so frightened that she hid under the bed for two days. Now she behaves as if she owns the flat. She is clever and very independent: she knows exactly when I come home from school and waits for me by the door, but she only lets you stroke her when she is in the mood.
Having a pet has taught me to be responsible. I clean her litter tray, buy her food with my pocket money and take her to the vet for her injections.
