Qiyin qaror kartasida hikoya ikki yo‘l orasidagi tortishuvdan iborat bo‘lishi kerak: A variant nima berardi, B variant nima berardi va nega tanlash og‘ir bo‘ldi. Keyin kimdan maslahat olganingizni, oxir-oqibat nimani tanlaganingizni va hozir bu haqda nima o‘ylayotganingizni ayting. “To‘g‘ri qaror qildim” deb maqtanish shart emas; halol shubha javobni ishonarli qiladi.
Bu karta so‘z boyligi uchun sinov ham: decide, decision, choose so‘zlari ikki daqiqada o‘n marta takrorlanib ketishi oson. Shuning uchun quyida paraphrase tekshiruvi ham bor.
Mashq kartasi: qiyin qaror
Karta BandMate tahririyati tomonidan mashq uchun tuzilgan; real imtihon kartasining nusxasi emas.
Describe a difficult decision you once made.
You should say:
- what the decision was
- when you made it
- what options you had
- and explain why it was difficult.
IELTS.org bo‘yicha bu qism tayyorgarlik bilan 3–4 daqiqa oladi: qaydlar uchun bir daqiqa, keyin 2 daqiqa gapirish, so‘ng imtihonchi shu mavzuda bir-ikki savol berishi mumkin.
Avval xatolar: make a decision, decide to va “said me”
Bu kartada bir xil xatolar deyarli har bir javobda uchraydi, shuning uchun ularni namunadan oldin ko‘rib chiqamiz.
| Noto‘g‘ri | To‘g‘ri | Izoh |
|---|---|---|
| I did a decision. | I made a decision. | Decision bilan make ishlatiladi (britaniyachada take ham bor) |
| I decided go to Tashkent. | I decided to go to Tashkent. | Decide + to + fe’l |
| I couldn’t decide which university choose. | I couldn’t decide which university to choose. | Which / where / whether + to |
| My parents said me to choose. | My parents told me to choose. | Tell someone to; say dan keyin shaxs to‘g‘ridan-to‘g‘ri kelmaydi |
| If I chose Tashkent, I would study IT. | If I had chosen Tashkent, I would have studied IT. | O‘tmishdagi shart: third conditional |
Oxirgi qator eng qimmatli: qaror kartasi o‘tmishdagi “agar”larni talab qiladi. Shart gaplarni yaxshi eslamasangiz, third conditional sahifasini ko‘rib chiqing.
Qaydlar: ikki ustunli jadval
Qaror kartasida qaydlarni ikki ustun qilib yozish qulay: chapda A variant, o‘ngda B variant, pastda nima bo‘lgani.
- A: state grant, economics, Samarkand, free, live at home
- B: contract, computer science, Tashkent, fees every year, what I really wanted
- Why hard: brother’s wedding that autumn; parents: “we’ll find the money”
- Who helped: cousin (studied on contract): degree matters less, learned most online
- Result: took grant + evening online coding
- Now: 3rd year, 2 small freelance projects, no regrets but “what if…”
Namuna javob: grant yoki kontrakt
Mashq uchun yozilgan namuna, ikki daqiqa atrofida. Band 7 darajasidagi nutq qanday tuzilishini ko‘rsatadi; bu rasmiy ball emas.
I’d like to talk about a decision I had to make the summer after I finished school, which was choosing between two universities. It probably sounds ordinary, but at the time it felt enormous.
I’m from Samarkand, and I’d applied to two places. When the results came out in August, I’d got a state grant to study economics in my home city, which meant my studies would be free. But I’d also been offered a place in computer science at a university in Tashkent, and that was a contract place, so my family would have had to pay the fees every year. Computer science was what I really wanted; economics was, let’s say, the sensible option.
What made it so hard was the timing. My older brother was getting married that autumn, and I knew exactly how much a wedding costs a family. My parents said they’d find the money somehow, which, to be honest, made it even harder, because I knew they meant it.
I spent about a week going back and forth. In the end, I talked to my cousin, who’d studied on a contract in Tashkent, and she was very frank with me. She said the degree mattered less than I thought, and that most of what she uses at work she’d learned online. That was the turning point. I took the grant, stayed in Samarkand and started learning programming in the evenings.
Looking back, I don’t think there was a perfect choice. I’m in my third year now, and I’ve already done a couple of small freelance projects, so I don’t regret it. But I sometimes wonder how different my life would be if I’d moved to Tashkent. What I’m proud of is that I weighed it up myself instead of just doing what I was told.
Tuzilishiga e’tibor bering: ikkinchi abzats ikki variantni yonma-yon qo‘yadi, uchinchisi qiyinchilik sababini aniq voqea bilan beradi, to‘rtinchisida burilish nuqtasi (That was the turning point), beshinchisida esa halol xulosa.

Part 3: tanlov va mas’uliyat haqida 4 savol
Mashq savollari; har biri ostida javob uchun qisqa g‘oya.
- Should young people choose their university themselves, or follow their parents’ advice? Ideally both. Parents know the family’s situation, but the student is the one who’ll sit in lectures for four years, so the final word should be theirs.
- Do people today have to make more decisions than in the past? Probably, yes. My grandparents had fewer options for jobs or where to live, while we have hundreds of choices, even for something as small as a phone plan.
- Is it better to decide quickly or to take your time? For small things, quickly, because overthinking wastes energy. For life-changing ones, like moving city, sleeping on it is sensible.
- Why do some people find it hard to make decisions? Often it’s fear of regret. They focus on what they might lose rather than on what they’ll gain.
Part 3 da fikrni sabab va misol bilan qurish tartibi Part 3 opinion structure sahifasida.
Lexical resource ustunini tekshirish: paraphrase hisobi
Rasmiy Speaking band descriptors ning Lexical resource ustunida band 7 uchun ham, band 8 uchun ham “paraphrase’dan samarali foydalanish” tilga olinadi; band 6 da nomzod odatda muvaffaqiyatli paraphrase qila oladi. Qaror kartasida bu so‘z takrorlanishidan qochish qobiliyati bilan to‘g‘ridan-to‘g‘ri ko‘rinadi.
- 1 daqiqa. O‘z qaroringiz bo‘yicha ikki ustunli qaydlar yozing.
- 2 daqiqa. Taymer bilan gapiring va yozib oling.
- 3 daqiqa. Tinglab, to‘rtta kalit so‘zni sanang: decide, decision, choose, choice. Har biri necha marta aytilganini yozing.
- 2 daqiqa. Uch martadan ko‘p aytilgan har bir so‘z uchun ikkita muqobil toping. Namunadagi yechimlar: the sensible option, a tough call, weighed it up, took the grant, going back and forth.
- 2 daqiqa. Qayta gapiring. Maqsad: to‘rtta so‘zning hech biri uch martadan oshmasin, lekin gaplar sun’iy ham eshitilmasin.
