“Describe a house you would like to live in” kartasi xayoliy uy haqida, shuning uchun uning asosiy grammatikasi would: it would have…, I’d put…, if I could…. Kuchli javob hashamatli villani emas, sizga tanish bo‘lgan joydan olingan bitta g‘oyani tasvirlaydi va uni hozirgi uyingiz bilan solishtiradi. Uch narsani tayyorlang: uy qayerda, unda nima bo‘lardi, va nega aynan shunday uy.
Part 2 da karta va qog‘ozga qaydlar uchun bir daqiqa beriladi, keyin ikki daqiqagacha gapirasiz (rasmiy format, IELTS.org). Hozir yashayotgan uyingiz haqidagi qisqa savollar Part 1 da keladi, ular home and accommodation sahifasida.
Mashq kartasi: orzudagi uy
Tahririyat tuzgan mashq kartasi; real imtihon kartasining nusxasi emas.
Describe a house you would like to live in.
You should say:
- where it would be
- what it would look like
- what you would do there
- and explain why you would like to live in this house.
Yaqin variantlar: a house or flat you have visited that you liked, your ideal home, a building you would like to live in. Birinchisi o‘tgan zamonda aytiladi (it had…, I stayed…), qolgan ikkitasi esa shu sahifadagi would grammatikasi bilan.
Would, if va “will”: bu kartaning grammatikasi
Orzudagi uy haqida gapirganda uchraydigan xatolar ko‘pincha bir xil:
- “There will be a big kitchen.” Uy hali yo‘q va balki bo‘lmaydi ham, shuning uchun will emas: The kitchen would have a big window. Will faqat aniq rejaga mos: We’re building a house next year, and it will have…
- “I would like live in…” Like dan keyin to: I’d like to live in…
- “If I will have money…” Xayoliy shartda if dan keyin o‘tgan zamon: If I had the money, I’d… Qoidani second conditional sahifasida takrorlang.
- “In my house will be five rooms.” O‘zbekcha “uyimda besh xona bo‘ladi” tuzilmasi. Inglizcha: My house would have five rooms yoki There would be five rooms.
- House yoki home? House — bino, home — o‘zingizni uydagidek his qiladigan joy. Farq house va home sahifasida.
- Qavatlar. Britaniya inglizchasida ground floor — birinchi qavat, first floor — ikkinchi qavat. Chalkashlik bo‘lmasligi uchun: I live on the seventh floor of a nine-storey block.
Bir daqiqalik qaydlar
- What/where: 1-storey + courtyard; edge of Tashkent; ≤15 min walk to metro
- Idea from: grandma’s house nr Samarkand; apricot tree; tapchan under vines; slept outside
- Now: 7th floor, 9-storey block, Yunusobod; lift, drilling
- Ideal: tree on day 1; tapchan; kitchen window → yard; small study room
- Why: courtyard = together “by accident”; for my kids; afford?? (joke)
Oxirgi qatordagi savol belgisi o‘zingiz uchun eslatma: javobni yengil hazil bilan yopish.
Namuna javob: hovlili bir qavatli uy
Mashq uchun yozilgan, taxminan ikki daqiqalik nutq. Band 7 uslubiga yaqin, lekin rasmiy baholangan javob emas.
The house I’d love to live in one day is actually quite modest. It wouldn’t be a mansion or anything like that; what I have in mind is a traditional one-storey house with a courtyard, somewhere on the edge of Tashkent, but no more than fifteen minutes’ walk from a metro station.
The idea comes from my grandmother’s house near Samarkand, where I spent most of my summers as a kid. Her house was built around a courtyard, with a big apricot tree in the middle and a tapchan, a sort of wooden platform, under a grapevine. We ate there, drank tea there, and on really hot nights we even slept there.
Right now, though, I live with my parents on the seventh floor of a nine-storey block in Yunusobod. It’s convenient, but the lift breaks down every few weeks, and there’s always a neighbour drilling somewhere.
So in my ideal house, the courtyard would be the heart of everything. I’d plant a fruit tree the day I moved in, and I’d put a tapchan exactly like my grandmother’s under some vines. The kitchen would have a big window facing the yard, so that whoever’s cooking could still be part of the conversation instead of being shut away. And I’d want one small room just for me, with bookshelves and a desk, where I could study without hearing anyone’s drill.
Why would I like to live there? Partly it’s nostalgia, I suppose. But I also think a courtyard changes the way a family lives. In a flat, everyone disappears into their own room with their phone. In a courtyard, you end up sitting together almost by accident. If I could give my own kids one thing from my childhood, it would be those evenings under the vines. Whether I’ll ever be able to afford it in Tashkent is another question, of course.
Nimaga e’tibor bering: uy g‘oyasi bolalik xotirasidan kelib chiqadi, shuning uchun tafsilotlar tabiiy (o‘rik daraxti, tok ostidagi so‘ri). Hozirgi kvartira bilan solishtirish javobga qarama-qarshilik beradi. Would javob davomida izchil saqlangan.
Grammatical range ustuni: tuzilmalar ro‘yxati
Rasmiy Speaking band descriptors dagi uchinchi ustun Grammatical range and accuracy. Band 6 tavsifi: qisqa va murakkab gaplar aralash keladi, tuzilmalar xilma-xil, lekin erkinlik cheklangan; murakkab gaplarda xato tez-tez uchraydi, ammo tushunishga kamdan-kam xalaqit qiladi. Band 7 da tuzilmalar doirasi moslashuvchan ishlatiladi, xatosiz gaplar ko‘p bo‘ladi, sodda va murakkab gaplar biroz xato bilan bo‘lsa ham samarali qo‘llanadi, bir nechta oddiy xato qolishi mumkin.
Bu kartada range ni o‘lchash qulay: xayoliy uy tabiiy ravishda turli tuzilmalarni talab qiladi.
- 1 daqiqa. O‘z orzuingizdagi uy uchun qaydlar yozing.
- 2 daqiqa. Gapiring va yozib oling.
- 4 daqiqa. Yozuvni tinglab, quyidagi oltita tuzilmadan qaysilari chiqqanini belgilang: (1) would + fe’l; (2) if + o‘tgan zamon; (3) where / which / who bilan izoh; (4) what I’d love is… kabi urg‘uli gap; (5) solishtirish (bigger than, not as noisy as); (6) maqsad (so that…).
- 2 daqiqa. Har belgilangan tuzilma to‘g‘ri chiqdimi? Ayniqsa will ga sirpanib ketgan joylarni sanang.
- 2 daqiqa. Chiqmagan ikki tuzilmani qaydlarga kiriting va qayta gapiring. Maqsad: oltitadan kamida to‘rttasi, xatosiz.

Part 3: uy-joy haqida 4 savol
- Do people in your country prefer houses or flats? Most people of my grandparents’ generation would choose a house with a yard. Younger people in Tashkent often go for flats, mainly because they’re closer to work and easier to look after.
- Why is housing so expensive in big cities? Demand, basically. Jobs and universities are concentrated there, so everyone wants to live there, and land in the centre is limited.
- Should cities build more high-rise buildings? In some areas, yes, as long as they come with parks, schools and decent transport. The problem starts when towers go up and nothing else does.
- How might homes change in the future? I imagine they’ll get smaller in cities and more flexible, with one room used as an office, a gym and a guest room depending on the day.
