Describe a website: IELTS Part 2 namuna va 4 ta Part 3 savol

Describe a website you often use kartasi: lug‘at sayti haqida 2 daqiqalik namuna, qaydlar, internet iboralari, band 6→7 gaplar, Part 3 va javobli mashq.

Telefon ekranini barmoq bilan varaqlayotgan qo‘l: describe a website kartasi

“Describe a website” kartasi o‘quvchilarni ko‘pincha chalg‘itadi: sayt haqida ikki daqiqa nima deyish mumkin? Yechim — saytni texnik ta’riflamaslik, balki u bilan bog‘liq hikoyani aytish: uni qanday topdingiz, birinchi marta nima qiyin bo‘ldi, hozir qaysi aniq vazifa uchun ochasiz va u sizda nimani o‘zgartirdi. Funksiyalarni ro‘yxat qilib sanash o‘rniga, har birini bitta real vaziyat bilan ko‘rsating.

Part 2 da bir daqiqa tayyorlanasiz va ikki daqiqagacha gapirasiz; imtihonchi shundan keyin bir-ikki qisqa savol berishi mumkin (rasmiy format). Telefon ilovasi haqidagi karta boshqacha til talab qiladi (bildirishnomalar, obuna, yangilanish), uni describe an app sahifasida mashq qiling.

Mashq kartasi: tez-tez ishlatadigan sayt

Tahririyat mashq uchun tuzgan karta; imtihon kartalari to‘plamidan emas.

Describe a website you use often.

You should say:

  • what the website is
  • how you found out about it
  • what you use it for
  • and explain why you find it useful.

Variantlari: a website you bought something from, a website that helped you learn something, a website you would recommend to others. Qaysi biri tushsa ham, sayt tanlashda bitta qoida: siz uni haqiqatan ishlatasiz va u bilan bog‘liq bitta aniq voqeani eslay olasiz.

Bir daqiqalik qaydlar

  • What: Cambridge Dictionary website, English–English, free
  • Found: 18, IELTS course, Chilonzor; teacher circled “make a photo” → check collocations
  • Before: translated everything via Russian
  • Use: pronunciation UK/US audio; example sentences; collocations; bookmarked on laptop
  • Why: stopped translating in my head; 1st week painful — definitions harder than words

Namuna javob: lug‘at sayti haqida

Mashq uchun yozilgan, taxminan ikki daqiqalik nutq. Band 7 darajasiga yaqin javobni ko‘rsatish uchun tuzilgan; rasmiy baho qo‘yilmagan.

The website I use more than any other is probably the Cambridge Dictionary site. It’s a free online dictionary, but the important thing is that it’s English–English, so the definitions are in English rather than in Uzbek or Russian.

I found out about it about three years ago, when I was eighteen and doing an IELTS course at a learning centre in Chilonzor. Up until then, I used to translate everything through Russian, which meant my sentences sounded, well, translated. One day my teacher gave me back an essay with “make a photo” circled in red, and she told me to stop guessing and check how words are actually used. She suggested this site.

Honestly, the first week was painful. Some of the definitions seemed harder than the word I was looking up, and I kept going back to a translator out of habit. But after a while I got used to it, and now it’s the first tab I open whenever I’m studying.

I use it for three things mainly. First, pronunciation: most words have a recording in both British and American English, which is how I discovered I’d been saying “vegetable” with four syllables instead of three. Second, the example sentences, because they show me what a word goes with, so I can see it’s “take a photo”, not “make”. And third, if I’m unsure whether a phrase sounds natural, I search for it and see whether it appears in any examples.

The reason I find it so useful is that it’s changed the way I learn. Before, I collected translations. Now I collect phrases. If I had to pick one website that’s helped my English more than any course, it would be this one.

Nimaga e’tibor bering: sayt haqida faqat siz tekshira oladigan narsalar aytilgan (inglizcha izohlar, ikki xil talaffuz yozuvi, misol gaplar). Qiyinchilik halol tan olingan (the first week was painful), bu javobni reklama matniga o‘xshashdan saqlaydi. Namuna aniq faktlarni o‘ylab topmaydi: agar saytingiz haqida biror narsani aniq bilmasangiz, uni aytmang.

Grammatika ustunini tekshirish: ✓ va ✗ bilan transkript

Rasmiy Speaking band descriptors dagi uchinchi ustun Grammatical range and accuracy. Uning band 7 qatori mazmunan: turli tuzilmalar moslashuvchan ishlatiladi, xatosiz gaplar tez-tez uchraydi, sodda va murakkab gaplar samarali qo‘llanadi, garchi ayrim xatolar, jumladan bir nechta oddiy xato saqlanib qolsa ham. Band 6 da qisqa va murakkab gaplar aralashadi, lekin tuzilmalar kam moslashuvchan, murakkab gaplarda xato tez-tez bo‘ladi, ammo tushunishga kamdan-kam to‘sqinlik qiladi.

Sayt kartasi grammatikani tekshirish uchun qulay, chunki unda uch xil vaqt kerak bo‘ladi: topgan paytingiz (past simple), ilgarigi odat (used to) va hozirgacha davom etayotgan ish (I’ve been using).

  1. 1 daqiqa. O‘zingiz ishlatadigan sayt bo‘yicha qaydlar yozing.
  2. 2 daqiqa. Taymer bilan gapiring va yozib oling.
  3. 5 daqiqa. Yozuvni so‘zma-so‘z qog‘ozga ko‘chiring (yoki telefonning ovozni matnga aylantirish funksiyasidan foydalanib, keyin tekshiring). Har gap oxiriga ✓ yoki ✗ qo‘ying.
  4. 2 daqiqa. ✗ gaplarni turiga ko‘ra ajrating: zamon, artikl, predlog, so‘z tartibi. Qaysi tur ko‘p takrorlanyapti? Aynan o‘sha sizning “oddiy xatongiz”.
  5. 2 daqiqa. Shu xato turini nazorat qilib, qayta gapiring.

Part 3: internet va ma’lumot haqida 4 savol

  1. How can people tell if information on a website is reliable? Check who’s behind it and whether other independent sources say the same thing. For exam dates or fees, I’d only trust the official exam website, not a random blog.
  2. Do older people in your country use the internet as much as young people? Less, but the gap is closing fast. My grandparents learned to use video calls during the pandemic, and now my grandmother sends more voice messages than I do.
  3. Should people pay for content online? For quality journalism, I think so; someone has to pay the reporters. But basic information, like public services, should stay free.
  4. Will AI chatbots replace websites? They’ll replace some searches, but chatbots still need reliable websites to learn from, and people will want to check the original source when it really matters.

Texnologiya mavzusidagi to‘liq Part 3 mashqi Part 3 technology sahifasida, internet haqidagi Part 1 savollari esa internet savollari sahifasida.
