“Describe a historical place” kartasi tarix imtihoni emas. Imtihonchi sanalarni tekshirmaydi, u joyni qanday tasvirlashingizni, u yerda nimani ko‘rganingiz va his qilganingizni tinglaydi. O‘zingiz borgan joyni tanlang, ikki-uchta ko‘zga ko‘rinadigan tafsilotni ayting, bitta o‘rgangan narsangizni ehtiyotkor ibora bilan qo‘shing (I was told that…) va joy siz uchun nega muhimligini tushuntiring.
IELTS.org dagi rasmiy formatga ko‘ra Part 2 da bir daqiqa tayyorgarlik va ikki daqiqagacha nutq bor. Samarqandga safar haqida hikoya describe a trip sahifasida, butun bir shahar haqidagi karta esa describe a city sahifasida. Bu sahifa bitta tarixiy joyga qaratilgan.
Mashq kartasi: borgan tarixiy joyingiz
Mashq uchun tuzilgan karta; imtihon kartalaridan olinmagan.
Describe a historical place that you have visited.
You should say:
- where it is
- when you went there and who with
- what you saw and learned there
- and explain why this place is special to you.
Yaqin variantlar: a historic building in your country, an old building you would like to visit, a museum you enjoyed. Ikkinchisi kelajak va I’ve heard that… bilan aytiladi.
Tarixiy faktlar: nimani aytish mumkin, nimani tekshirish kerak
Tarixiy joy kartasida ko‘p o‘quvchi yodlangan sana va raqamlarni sanashga tushib ketadi, keyin bitta raqamni unutib, butun javob qoqiladi. Yaxshisi — faqat ishonchingiz komil bo‘lgan faktni aytish, qolganini yumshatish.
- Ishonchli manba bilan tekshirilgan: UNESCO Jahon merosi ro‘yxatidagi Samarkand – Crossroad of Cultures obyekti tavsifida Registon madrasalari shaharning asosiy yodgorliklari qatorida tilga olinadi. Xuddi shu tavsifga ko‘ra, Samarqand eng katta rivojini Temuriylar davrida, XIV–XV asrlarda ko‘rgan.
- Sanalarni bilmasangiz: The buildings go back several centuries yoki They’re centuries old deyish yetarli. Imtihonchi “qaysi yili?” deb so‘ramaydi.
- Eshitgan narsangizni: I was told that…, As far as I know…, It’s said to be… bilan boshlang. Bu band 7 uchun ham foydali til.
- Hamma narsani Amir Temurga bog‘lamang. Masalan, Registondagi madrasalardan biri uning nabirasi Ulug‘bek nomi bilan ataladi. Kim qurganini aniq bilmasangiz: It was built centuries ago.
Bir daqiqalik qaydlar
- Where: Registan, Samarkand; square + 3 madrasas
- When/with: last spring, grandpa (visited once as young man) + cousins
- Saw: 7 a.m., empty, silent; scale; tiles; 2 striped cats + deer + sun face on 1 gateway; courtyard, craftsmen in old student rooms, copper plate
- Learned: grandpa: name ≈ “sandy place”; Ulugh Beg = ruler, astronomer
- Why special: not a museum behind glass; grandpa in the middle of the square
Namuna javob: bobom bilan Registonda
Mashq uchun yozilgan, taxminan ikki daqiqalik nutq. Band 7 atrofidagi javob qanday eshitilishini ko‘rsatadi; rasmiy baho qo‘yilmagan.
The historical place I’d like to talk about is the Registan in Samarkand. For anyone who hasn’t been there, it’s a large square surrounded on three sides by enormous old madrasas, which were religious schools, all covered in blue and turquoise tiles.
I went there last spring with my grandfather. He’d been there once as a young man and had been talking about going back for years, so my cousins and I finally took him. We deliberately went early, at about seven in the morning, before the tour groups arrived, and I’m really glad we did, because the square was almost empty and completely silent.
The first thing that hit me was the scale. In photos it just looks pretty, but when you’re standing in front of those gateways, you feel tiny. Then, as you get closer, you notice how detailed everything is. On one of the gateways there are two big striped cats, which look like tigers to me, chasing deer, with a sun with a human face behind them. I definitely didn’t expect that on a building so old.
We wandered into one of the courtyards, and it turned out that some of the old student rooms are now used by craftsmen. There was a man engraving a copper plate, and my grandfather ended up chatting to him for about half an hour.
While we were there, my grandfather told me that the name Registan means something like “sandy place”, and that one of the madrasas is named after Ulugh Beg, who was a ruler but is better remembered as an astronomer. I’d learned that at school, but hearing it there made it feel real.
I think what makes the place special for me isn’t just its age. It doesn’t feel like a museum behind glass: people sell things, children run around, craftsmen work there. And seeing my grandfather standing in the middle of the square, trying to work out what had changed since he was twenty, is something I’ll remember for a long time.
Nimaga e’tibor bering: faktlar oz va ehtiyotkor: nom ma’nosi bobodan eshitilgan, Ulug‘bek haqidagi ma’lumot maktabdan. Tasvir ko‘lamdan (you feel tiny) mayda tafsilotga (bitta peshtoqdagi rasm) o‘tadi. Oxirgi qism joyni odam bilan bog‘laydi, shuning uchun javob ma’lumotnomaga o‘xshamaydi.

Lexical resource ustuni: “beautiful, big, old” o‘rniga aniq so‘z
Rasmiy Speaking band descriptors dagi Lexical resource ustuni band 7 ni shunday ta’riflaydi: nomzod kamroq uchraydigan va idiomatik birikmalarni ma’lum darajada ishlata oladi, uslub va so‘z birikmalarini (kollokatsiyani) his qilishi sezilib turadi, garchi ba’zi tanlovlar o‘rinsiz bo‘lsa ham. Band 6 da so‘z boyligi mavzuni kengroq muhokama qilishga yetadi, ba’zi so‘zlar noo‘rin tanlanadi, ammo ma’no aniq qoladi.
Tarixiy joy kartasida uchta so‘z hammani “ushlab qoladi”: beautiful, big, old. Ular xato emas, lekin hech narsani ko‘rsatmaydi.
- 2 daqiqa. O‘zingiz borgan tarixiy joy haqida gapirib, yozib oling.
- 3 daqiqa. Tinglab, beautiful, big, old, nice, very so‘zlarini har eshitganda belgilang.
- 3 daqiqa. Har biri uchun “nimasi bilan?” deb so‘rang va aniqrog‘ini tanlang: big → enormous, you feel tiny; old → centuries-old; beautiful → intricate tilework, striking. Ehtiyot bo‘ling: ancient odatda juda qadimiy, ming yillik narsalar uchun ishlatiladi, bir necha asrlik bino uchun centuries-old aniqroq.
- 2 daqiqa. Kollokatsiyalarni tekshiring: make a visit ✗ → pay a visit ✓; big history ✗ → a long history ✓; historical va historic farqi describe a city sahifasida tushuntirilgan.
- 2 daqiqa. Qayta gapiring. Maqsad: umumiy sifatlarning yarmini aniq tasvirga almashtirish.
Band 7 darajasidagi iboralarning ko‘proq to‘plami kuchli iboralar va so‘zlar sahifasida.
Part 3: tarixiy meros haqida 4 savol
- Why is it important to protect historical buildings? They’re a kind of physical memory. You can read about history in a book, but standing in a place where people lived and studied centuries ago makes it feel real, especially for children.
- Should governments spend more on restoring old buildings or on new infrastructure? Both matter, but restoration can’t wait in the same way. A new road can be built next year; a collapsed dome is gone for good.
- Can tourism damage historical places? It can. Too many visitors wear down floors and steps, and if every shop turns into a souvenir stall, the place loses its everyday life. Limiting numbers at peak times seems sensible.
- How can young people be encouraged to learn about history? Take them there, and let them talk to people, not just read the signs. My interest in history came from my grandfather’s stories, not from a textbook.
Madaniyat va an’analar bo‘yicha Part 3 savollari Part 3 culture and traditions sahifasida.
Tarixiy joy haqida gapirganda: asrlar va “madrasa”

- “Medrese”, “madrasses”. Inglizcha matnlarda odatda madrasa (ko‘plik madrasas) yoki madrassa. Birinchi marta aytganda qisqa izoh bering: a madrasa, which was a religious school.

- “It is very ancient.” Ancient o‘zi kuchli so‘z; very ni olib tashlang yoki centuries old deng.
