Describe a mistake you made: IELTS Part 2 namuna va tahlil

Describe a mistake you made kartasi: zaxira nusxasiz yo‘qolgan bitiruv ishi haqida 2 daqiqalik namuna, third conditional, 12 ta ibora, Part 3 va mashq.

Bir sariq papkadan ikkinchisiga yashil strelka bilan nusxa ko‘chirilmoqda: zaxira nusxa olinmagan xato haqidagi IELTS kartasi

“Describe a mistake you made” kartasida imtihonchi sizni sud qilmaydi, u o‘tgan voqeani qanday hikoya qilishingizni va undan qanday xulosa chiqarishingizni tinglaydi. Oqibati bo‘lgan, lekin juda shaxsiy bo‘lmagan xatoni tanlang. Javobni uch qismga bo‘ling: nima qildingiz (yoki qilmadingiz), bu nimaga olib keldi, endi nimani boshqacha qilasiz. Oxirgi qism uchun bitta tuzilma deyarli majburiy: If I had…, I wouldn’t have…

Part 2 da bir daqiqa tayyorgarlik, qalam-qog‘oz va ikki daqiqagacha nutq bo‘ladi (IELTS.org dagi rasmiy tavsif). Xato bilan yonma-yon keladigan karta — qiyin qaror; uni describe a difficult decision sahifasida mashq qiling.

Mashq kartasi: qilgan xatongiz

Karta mashq maqsadida yozilgan va real imtihon materiali emas.

Describe a mistake you made.

You should say:

  • what the mistake was
  • when it happened
  • what the result of the mistake was
  • and explain what you learned from it.

Yaqin variantlar: a time you forgot something important, a time you were late for something important, a decision you regret. Hammasida bir xil tuzilma ishlaydi: voqea, oqibat, saboq.

Qaysi xatoni tanlash kerak

Yaxshi tanlov — kichik, lekin oqibatli xato: kompyuterdagi fayl, noto‘g‘ri tanlangan poyezd, unutilgan hujjat, vaqtida topshirilmagan ariza. Bular haqida erkin gapirasiz va saboq aniq bo‘ladi.

Qochish kerak bo‘lganlari: qonunga zid ishlar, oiladagi og‘ir janjal, sog‘liq bilan bog‘liq qayg‘uli voqealar. Ularni imtihonda gapirish noqulay, noqulaylik esa nutqda darhol eshitiladi. Juda arzimas xato ham yaramaydi: I forgot my umbrella haqida ikki daqiqa gapirib bo‘lmaydi.

Bir daqiqalik qaydlar

  • What: no backup, final-year project, ~60 pp.
  • When: last year of uni, 3 wks before defence
  • Result: black screen → repair shop nr Malika → drive dead; flash copy 2 months old, −3 chapters; 12 days, 4 hrs sleep; sister typed, classmates’ notes
  • Mark: “good” not “excellent” — fair
  • Learned: 3 copies (laptop / cloud / flash); ask for help → if … hadn’t …

Namuna javob: yo‘qolgan bitiruv ishi

Mashq uchun yozilgan, ikki daqiqaga yaqin javob. Band 7 atrofida qanday gapirish mumkinligini ko‘rsatadi; rasmiy baholash emas.

The mistake I’m going to talk about is a pretty classic one, but it taught me a lesson I’ll never forget: I didn’t back up my final-year project.

It happened in my last year at university, about three weeks before I was supposed to defend my thesis. I’d been working on it for months, around sixty pages on water use in farming, and every single file was on my old laptop. One morning I pressed the power button and nothing happened. Just a black screen.

At first I wasn’t that worried. I took it to a repair shop near Malika market, and the guy there sounded very confident. But two days later he called and told me the hard drive was completely dead and there was nothing he could recover. I remember standing in the kitchen feeling physically sick.

The only copy I had was an old version on a flash drive from about two months earlier, and it was missing three whole chapters. So for the next twelve days I basically rewrote them from memory and from my notebooks, sleeping maybe four hours a night. My younger sister typed up my handwritten tables, and two classmates sent me photos of their lecture notes, which saved me a lot of time.

In the end I defended it, and I got a “good” mark rather than “excellent”, which I think was fair, because the last chapter was obviously rushed.

So what did I learn? The obvious lesson is technical: if I’d backed up my files, none of this would have happened. Now I keep everything in three places: on my laptop, in cloud storage and on a flash drive. But the bigger lesson was about asking for help. I’m quite proud, and normally I hate asking. If my sister and my classmates hadn’t stepped in, I don’t think I’d have finished at all.

Nimaga e’tibor bering: javob boshida xato bitta gap bilan nomlangan, shuning uchun imtihonchi hikoyani boshidan kuzatadi. Oqibat raqamlar bilan aniq (uch hafta, o‘n ikki kun, to‘rt soat). Saboq ikki qavatli: texnik va shaxsiy, ikkalasi ham shart gap bilan.

Grammatical accuracy: fe’llarni vaqt chizig‘iga qo‘yish

Rasmiy Speaking band descriptors jadvalining uchinchi ustuni Grammatical range and accuracy. Aniqlik tomonidan farq shunday: band 7 da xatosiz gaplar tez-tez uchraydi va murakkab gaplar ham samarali ishlaydi, faqat ayrim oddiy xatolar qoladi. Band 6 da esa murakkab tuzilmalarda xato ko‘p bo‘ladi, garchi ular muloqotni kamdan-kam buzsa ham.

Xato haqidagi hikoyada eng ko‘p adashtiradigan narsa — zamonlar zanjiri: voqeadan oldingi ish, voqeaning o‘zi va hozirgi holat. Shuni tekshiring.

  1. 2 daqiqa. O‘z xatongiz haqida gapirib, yozib oling.
  2. 5 daqiqa. Yozuvni qog‘ozga ko‘chiring va har bir fe’lning tagiga chizing.
  3. 3 daqiqa. Har fe’l ustiga uning vaqtini yozing: O (voqeadan oldin: I’d been working), V (voqea: I pressed), H (hozir: I keep), X (xayoliy o‘tmish: if I’d backed up… would have). Shakl vaqtga mosmi?
  4. 2 daqiqa. Mos kelmaganlarni sanang. Qaysi harfda ko‘p xato? Ko‘pchilikda X bo‘ladi: if I saved, it will not happen.
  5. 2 daqiqa. O‘sha bitta tuzilmani uch marta ovoz chiqarib ayting va hikoyani qayta gapiring.

Uchinchi tip shart gapning to‘liq qoidasi third conditional sahifasida, grammatika Speaking’da qanday baholanishi esa IELTS Speakingda grammatika sahifasida.

Xato haqida gapirganda: “did a mistake” va “I wish I did”

  • “I did a mistake.” Mistake so‘zi do bilan emas, make bilan keladi: I made a mistake.
  • “I regret to not save my files.” Regret o‘tgan ish haqida -ing bilan: I regret not backing up my files.
  • “I wish I backed up my files.” O‘tmishdagi afsus uchun past perfect: I wish I’d backed them up. Wish bilan barcha shakllar wish va if only sahifasida.
  • “My laptop broke itself.” Rus tilidagi сломался ta’siri. To‘g‘risi: My laptop broke down yoki It just died.
  • “By mistake I sent it.” Grammatik to‘g‘ri, lekin tabiiyroq tartib: I sent it by mistake.

Part 3: xatolar va o‘rganish haqida 4 savol

  1. Do people learn more from mistakes or from success? From mistakes, usually, because they hurt. Success tends to make us repeat what we did without asking why it worked.
  2. Should parents let children make mistakes? Small ones, definitely. If a child forgets their homework once and gets a bad mark, that teaches more than a parent packing their bag every morning.
  3. Why do some people find it hard to admit mistakes? Pride, and sometimes fear. In some workplaces admitting a mistake can cost you, so people hide small problems until they become big ones.
  4. Are mistakes treated differently at work and at school? At school a mistake usually costs you a mark. At work it can cost money or a client, so the stakes are higher, but good managers still treat an honest mistake as something to learn from.
