Milliy taom kartasida g‘olib bo‘ladigan javob retseptni emas, jarayonni tasvirlaydi: taom qanday ko‘rinadi, ichida nima bor, uni kim va qanday tayyorlaydi, qachon yeyiladi. Eng yaxshisi, o‘zingiz tayyorlanishini ko‘rgan yoki qo‘lingiz tekkan taomni tanlang. Birinchi gapdayoq taomni inglizcha bitta jumla bilan izohlang: Somsa is a savoury pastry with a meat filling.
Ko‘p nomzod avtomatik ravishda oshni tanlaydi, shuning uchun imtihonchi osh haqidagi o‘xshash hikoyalarni tez-tez eshitadi. Somsa, manti, norin yoki chuchvara kabi taomlarda jarayon ko‘proq va har birida sizning shaxsiy voqeangiz bo‘ladi. Quyidagi namunada tandir somsasi olingan.
Karta (mashq uchun): milliy taom

Describe a traditional food from your country.
You should say:
- what it is
- how it is made
- when people usually eat it
- and explain why it is important to you.
IELTS.org ga ko‘ra, Part 2 tayyorgarlik bilan birga 3–4 daqiqa davom etadi: bir daqiqa qalam va qog‘ozda qayd yozasiz, keyin taxminan ikki daqiqa gapirasiz. Oxirida imtihonchi shu mavzuda bir-ikki savol berishi mumkin.
Bir daqiqalik qaydlar: taomning “hayot yo‘li”
Qaydlarni karta bandlari bo‘yicha emas, taomning yo‘li bo‘yicha yozing: xom ashyo → xamir → tandir → dasturxon. Shunda gapirayotganda keyingi qadam o‘z-o‘zidan esga tushadi.

Namuna javob: Jizzaxdagi yakshanba somsasi
Mashq uchun yozilgan matn, ovoz chiqarib o‘qilsa taxminan ikki daqiqa. Band 7 atrofidagi javob uslubini ko‘rsatadi; bu rasmiy baholangan javob emas.
The dish I’d like to talk about is somsa, and in particular the huge somsa my aunt bakes in Jizzakh, a city that’s famous for this dish, at least within Uzbekistan.
Somsa is a kind of savoury pastry. From the outside it looks like a square envelope with a golden, crispy crust and sesame seeds on top, and inside there’s a filling of chopped lamb, onion and a little tail fat, seasoned with cumin and black pepper. The Jizzakh version is bigger than usual, roughly the size of your palm, and the meat is chopped by hand with a knife rather than minced, which makes it much juicier.
Whenever we visit my aunt in the summer, Sunday is somsa day. She starts at around six, because the dough needs to rest. She rolls it out very thin, brushes it with melted butter and folds it several times, so it ends up with lots of flaky layers. Meanwhile, my cousins and I chop the onions, which always ends in tears, quite literally.
The most exciting part is the tandir, the clay oven in the courtyard. When the fire has burned down, you wet the bottom of each somsa and slap it onto the hot inner wall. The first time I tried, I was so nervous that I singed the hair on my arm, and my aunt still teases me about it. After about twenty minutes she lifts them off with a long metal scoop, and the whole courtyard smells of baked dough and cumin.
We eat them straight away with green tea and a simple tomato and onion salad. To be honest, it’s a very heavy meal, so nobody needs lunch afterwards.
I think somsa matters to me because it’s the opposite of fast food. It takes a whole morning and at least four pairs of hands, and that’s exactly why the conversation around the tandir is as memorable as the taste.

Rasmiy Speaking band descriptors ning Lexical resource ustunida band 6 uchun so‘z ba’zan noo‘rin tanlansa ham ma’no tushunarli bo‘lishi aytiladi. Band 8 da esa keng lug‘at aniq ma’noni yetkazish uchun erkin ishlatiladi. Taom tasvirida bu farq juda ko‘rinadi: band 6 dagi nomzod hamma narsani make, put, cook, good bilan aytadi, kuchliroq nomzod esa roll out, stuff, bake, flaky deydi.
Tekshiruv tartibi (taxminan 12 daqiqa):
- 1 daqiqa. O‘z taomingiz bo‘yicha qayd yozing.
- 2 daqiqa. Taymer qo‘yib gapiring va yozib oling.
- 4 daqiqa. Faqat “qanday tayyorlanadi” qismini so‘zma-so‘z qog‘ozga ko‘chiring. Make, put, do, cook, take, good, tasty, nice so‘zlarining har birini doiraga oling va sanang.
- 3 daqiqa. Har bir doira uchun aniqroq so‘z toping. Masalan: make the dough → knead / roll out the dough; put the meat inside → fill it with meat; cook in the tandir → bake; very tasty → juicy, crispy, rich.
- 2 daqiqa. Qayta yozib oling va doiralarni yana sanang. Maqsad: umumiy so‘zlar kamida ikki baravar kamaysin.

Part 3: taom va an’analar haqida 4 savol
Savollar mashq uchun; kursivdagi g‘oyalar to‘liq javob emas, yo‘nalish.
- Why do people still cook traditional food at home? Partly habit and partly identity. A recipe carries family memories, and some dishes are simply expected at weddings and holidays.
- Is fast food a threat to traditional dishes? Not completely. Somsa itself has become street food sold in kiosks. The real risk is that fewer people know how to make it at home.
- Should schools teach children to cook traditional dishes? A few practical lessons would help, but families teach it better. Schools could invite grandparents to show one dish.
- How has food in your country changed in the last twenty years? In Tashkent you can now find sushi and burgers everywhere, but wedding menus have hardly changed at all.
Bu mavzuga yaqin boshqa karta: describe a restaurant. An’analar haqidagi Part 3 savollari uchun culture and traditions sahifasiga o‘ting.
