Inversion — gap boshiga inkor yoki cheklovchi so‘z (never, rarely, not only, hardly, only then) chiqqanda, ega va yordamchi fe’l o‘rin almashadi, xuddi so‘roq gapdagidek: I have never seen such a sunset → Never have I seen such a sunset. Ma’no o‘zgarmaydi, lekin gap kuchliroq, rasmiyroq va ta’sirliroq eshitiladi.
Yordamchi fe’l bo‘lmasa, do/does/did qo‘shiladi: She rarely complains → Rarely does she complain. Bu tuzilma asosan yozuvda, nutqlarda va hikoya qilishda ishlatiladi; kundalik suhbatda kam.
Inversiyani uch qadamda yasash
- Oddiy gapni yozing: I had hardly arrived when the lights went out.
- Inkor/cheklovchi so‘zni boshiga chiqaring: Hardly …
- Keyin so‘roq gap tartibini qo‘ying (yordamchi fe’l + ega + asosiy fe’l): Hardly had I arrived when the lights went out.
Agar oddiy gapda yordamchi fe’l bo‘lmasa (Present Simple, Past Simple), so‘roqdagidek do/does/did qo‘shiladi va asosiy fe’l birinchi shaklga qaytadi: I understood only later → Only later did I understand.
O‘zbek tilida bunday qoida yo‘q: “Hech qachon bunday go‘zallikni ko‘rmaganman” gapida so‘z tartibi odatdagidek qoladi. Rus tilida esa so‘z tartibi erkin: Никогда я не видел ham, Никогда не видел я ham to‘g‘ri. Shu sababli o‘quvchilar ko‘pincha Never I have seen deb yozadi. Inglizchada bu xato: yordamchi fe’l albatta egadan oldin turishi kerak.

Ba’zan inversiya bilan qisqa javoblar ham tuziladi: I love plov. — So do I. Bu boshqa, kundalik tuzilma; u so do I va neither do I sahifasida.
IELTS Writing va Speaking da qanday foydalanish
