Kitob o‘qishning foydasi haqidagi matn argumentli matn: siz bitta fikrni aytasiz (I believe reading is very useful), uni 2–3 ta sabab bilan isbotlaysiz, har bir sababga misol keltirasiz, qarshi fikrni tan olasiz va xulosa qilasiz. Sabablar uchun eng tayyor uchlik: yangi so‘zlar, diqqatni jamlash va tasavvur. Ularni Firstly… Secondly… Also… bilan ulang.
Quyida bunday matnning "sevimli kitobim" matnidan farqi, 12 ta fikr bildirish iborasi, o‘qish lug‘ati, A2 va B1 namunalari tarjimasi bilan, shablon va mashq bor.
"Sevimli kitobim" matnidan farqi

Novel "roman", roman esa inglizchada kitob janri emas. Rus tilidagi роман sababli bu xato ko‘p uchraydi.
A2 namuna: Why I read every day
I think reading books is very useful, and I try to read for twenty minutes every day. Firstly, books help me learn new words. When I read in English, I write five new words in my notebook. Secondly, reading helps me relax. After school my head is full, but a good story makes me calm. Also, books teach us about other people and countries. For example, from one book I learned how people live in Japan. Some of my friends say that reading is boring and films are better. I don’t agree, because a book lets me imagine everything myself. That is why I think everyone should read a little every day. (112 so‘z)
Tarjimasi. Menimcha, kitob o‘qish juda foydali, shuning uchun har kuni yigirma daqiqa o‘qishga harakat qilaman. Birinchidan, kitoblar yangi so‘zlarni o‘rganishga yordam beradi. Inglizcha o‘qiganimda daftarimga beshta yangi so‘z yozaman. Ikkinchidan, o‘qish dam olishga yordam beradi. Maktabdan keyin boshim to‘la bo‘ladi, lekin yaxshi hikoya meni tinchlantiradi. Bundan tashqari, kitoblar boshqa odamlar va mamlakatlar haqida o‘rgatadi. Masalan, bitta kitobdan Yaponiyada odamlar qanday yashashini bilib oldim. Ba’zi do‘stlarim o‘qish zerikarli, filmlar yaxshiroq deyishadi. Men qo‘shilmayman, chunki kitob hamma narsani o‘zim tasavvur qilishimga imkon beradi. Shuning uchun har kim har kuni ozgina o‘qishi kerak, deb o‘ylayman.
Nimaga e’tibor bering: fikr birinchi gapda (I think reading books is very useful), uchta sabab Firstly, Secondly, Also bilan, qarshi fikr bitta gapda (Some of my friends say…) va xulosa That is why bilan. Reading books is useful — gerund ega bo‘lib keladi, Read books is useful xato.
B1 namuna: Do we still need books in the age of short videos?
Many teenagers say they have no time to read, yet they spend hours watching short videos. Some people believe that books are old-fashioned and that the internet can teach us everything. I strongly disagree.
Firstly, reading trains our concentration. A short video asks for a few seconds of attention, while a novel asks us to stay with one story for days. From my own experience, since I started reading before bed instead of scrolling, I have found it easier to focus on my homework. Secondly, books give us depth. A video can tell you that Alisher Navoi was a great poet, but only when you read his lines yourself, even with a dictionary, do you begin to feel why.
I must admit that videos are faster and sometimes more fun, and some of them are genuinely educational. However, they rarely demand the slow, careful thinking that a book does.
In short, books are not a hobby from the past but a tool for the future. If we read even twenty pages a day, we will think more clearly and express our ideas better. (183 so‘z)
Tarjimasi. Ko‘p o‘smirlar o‘qishga vaqtim yo‘q deydi, ammo soatlab qisqa videolar ko‘radi. Ba’zilar kitoblar eskirgan, internet hamma narsani o‘rgata oladi, deb hisoblaydi. Men bunga mutlaqo qo‘shilmayman.
Birinchidan, o‘qish diqqatni jamlashni mashq qildiradi. Qisqa video bir necha soniya e’tibor so‘raydi, roman esa bizni bir hikoya bilan kunlab birga bo‘lishga undaydi. O‘z tajribamdan aytsam, uxlashdan oldin telefon varaqlash o‘rniga kitob o‘qiy boshlaganimdan beri uy vazifasiga diqqatni jamlash osonlashdi. Ikkinchidan, kitoblar chuqurlik beradi. Video sizga Alisher Navoiy buyuk shoir bo‘lganini aytishi mumkin, lekin uning satrlarini o‘zingiz, hatto lug‘at bilan bo‘lsa ham, o‘qigandagina nega ekanini his qila boshlaysiz.
Tan olishim kerak, videolar tezroq va ba’zan qiziqroq, ayrimlari chindan ham foydali. Biroq ular kamdan-kam hollarda kitob talab qiladigan sekin va chuqur fikrlashni talab qiladi.
Qisqasi, kitoblar o‘tmishdagi mashg‘ulot emas, kelajak uchun vosita. Kuniga yigirma sahifa o‘qisak ham, aniqroq fikrlaymiz va fikrimizni yaxshiroq ifodalaymiz.
Nega bu B1: kirishda qarshi fikr birinchi aytiladi, keyin muallif pozitsiyasi (I strongly disagree). Taqqoslash while bilan, shaxsiy tajriba Present Perfect bilan (since I started…, I have found), qarshi fikr alohida paragrafda tan olinadi. Qog‘oz kitob yoki elektron kitob mavzusidagi boshqa esse maktab uchun esse namunalari sahifasida.
